The Reason Is My Daughter

Why start to write a newsletter that no one will read for probably the first year? I say no one….But having 100+ people reading something they didn't really asked for is not a captive audience….

So why did I really start to write this newsletter?

Well it is a combination of a few things working toward a common goal.

IMPROVING!!!

Let's start it like this… Try to do something for a long time and don’t quite. It is almost impossible.

You know the saying “The only constant in life is change”. and changing what you do is inevitable. Basically, another form of quitting. But changing sounds better, lets stick to that 😂.

1. First reason, I need to write something about investing, life, people, what is on my mind, things that I learned, experiences I had, how I made and lost money, and how I feel from week to week.

Because I want Ava, my daughter to look back and read it. I want to share it and hopefully she will avoid a lot of mistakes, get inspiration or just get entertained from it.

I lost my mother at the age of 12 and have barely any memories about her. She was only 31 when she passed away. So every now and then I remind myself that I can do something and be grateful.

It would have been awesome to read about her big life lessons and experiences.

2. Secondly, I know I can help others for the same reason. Why not share my journey. Who knows what will come from it. I already had people reaching out to me saying thank you.

   This is so much worth it for me.

   Thank you dad!!

3. Also, to build commitment and resilience. Because it is not easy to show up each week and wear your heart on your sleeve. To share your mistakes or to brag about things.

   Well sometimes it is fun to brag ☺

    

4. I have never been a good writer… Didn't know how to spell in school (thanks to technology, now its better). And I still make spelling mistakes. (Thanks Demitri for pointing it out. Appreciate it, lekker bru)

So this is forcing me to improve little by little. Hope it helps to clear my thought too.

5. Maybe in future this can also turn in to a revenue stream, and then in return help even more people with the funds that it generates. Win Win.

   And the people or companies that will advertise in the newsletter can also benefit from it.

And I can make this list much longer, but i am working on a new project and did not realize it is thursday night, and this newsletter needs to go out. so i will stop this here and continue next week.
